C hile is a privileged country, with a geography full of contrasts, quite unique in the world, due, mainly, to its situation along the majestic Andes range which runs all the length of the country from
North to South. Chile has 10% of all the volcanoes of the world, most of which are active.

North Zone:
In the Second Region of Chile, in San Pedro de Atacama, there are a number of peaks of the Andes and there are other quite unknown ones like mount Quimal in the Domeyko range, where active volcanoes can be climbed, such as the Lascar, the most active volcano in Chile.

This area has a privileged climate during most of the year and there is also the possibility of getting to the base of the summits at a high altitude, which makes this region one of the most attractive places of the world for trekking and mountaineering. The summits we are offering are an excellent sequence both for the organism to get accustomed to altitude as to understand the importance these summits had for the Prehispanic people, as they were used as ceremonial altars, marked by the solstices that forecasted periods of fertility of their animals and their crops. You will also be able to see, from these heights, majestic sights of salt flats, oasis, transversal ranges , such as that of the Salt or the Tatio Sur Volcano, the internationally well known geothermal field of El Tatio.
