Greenwich expeditions began in 1999 as an outdoor shop specialized in supplying professional equipment to the people who practice adventure sports.
During its development it began to organize expeditions partly sponsored by the firm Doite International, which includes, among its products, photographs of far away places both in Chile and in other parts of South America. To carry out these expeditions we decided to recondition the legendary 4x4 Land Rovers and Unimogs, which have turned out to be the ideal vehicles for this hard job, and also to have rescue equipment, powerful radios, global positioning systems (GPS) and a complete line of outdoor support.
It is at this stage that we decided to include expeditions in our firm as a need to satisfy our clients and to share with people from all over the world the joy of taking part in overlands in Chile and South America, offering a professional and personalized product, in this country with a privileged geography of contrasts unique in the world.
Our greatest interest is for you to be able to fulfil your wish of taking part in a real expedition in a classic 4x4 which has helped in discovering many corners of the world such as Chile, where you will get to know, not only the most beautiful places, but also the most remote, due to the difficulty in getting to them. You will also be able to learn about their cultures, their traditions and to understand why our country needs to balance progress without damaging the fragile ecosystem of which it is composed
Greenwich expedition nace el año 1999 como una tienda outdoor especializada en suministrar equipamiento profesional a las personas que practican deportes de aventura. En su evolución comienzan a realizarse expediciones, estas auspiciadas en parte por la firma Doite Internacional, la cual exhibe en sus productos fotografías nuestras en lugares remotos tanto en Chile como en Sur América.
Para llevar a cabo estas expediciones nos decidimos a reacondicionar los legendarios vehículos 4x4 Land Rovers y Unimogs, los cuales han resultado ser las maquinas ideales para este duro trabajo, además de contar con equipos de rescate, radios de gran potencia sistemas de posicionamiento global GPS y de una completa línea de soporte outdoor.
Es entonces cuando nace la idea de incorporar las expediciones a nuestra empresa como una necesidad de satisfacer a nuestros clientes y de poder compartir con personas de todo el mundo la alegría que nos mueve a realizar overlands en Chile y Sur América, otorgando un producto profesional y personalizado, en este país privilegiado con una geografía de contrastes única en el mundo.
Nuestro mayor interés es poder realizar su sueño de participar en una verdadera expedición a bordo de 4x4 clásicos que ayudaron a descubrir muchos rincones del mundo como Chile, en donde no solo conocerán los lugares mas hermosos y desconocidos por su difícil acceso, además podrán aprender sobre sus culturas, tradiciones y comprender porque nuestro país necesita equilibrar el progreso sin dañar el frágil ecosistema que lo compone.
